Making a Difference to California Veterans
Patriot Point
Patriot Point at Goldenwest + Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach, California Patriot Point has been a home for many passing by. With dedication and honor, one gentleman has kept this flag raised high for over 6 years, alone. Together, we have formed a vision to make this the permanent memorial and Future Home of Patriot Point, A Sanctuary for Veterans.
Fisher House Foundation
Fisher House Southern California provides temporary lodging and support to veterans, military members, and their families when receiving treatment through a Navy or VA medical facility. Families can stay at one of four ‘comfort’ Fisher Houses located at: VA Long Beach Medical Center, Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton; and Naval Medical Center San Diego, or at a local hotel when a Fisher House is not available. We provide families with food and warm meals, laundry facilities and transportation, and replace house appliances and furnishings as needed, all at NO cost to the family, for as long as medically necessary.

Operation Open Water
Operation Open Water officially launched its first event on Veteran’s Day, November 11, 2020, with a highly successful Veteran’s Day Channel Crossing. This event brought together veterans, first responders, surfers, and members of the Huntington Beach community to encourage and support those who have given so much. We will continue to hold a Veterans Day Channel Crossing every year. In 2022, we plan to provide opportunities quarterly for first responders and veterans to join us in Huntington Beach for surfing and camaraderie.
Warrior Canine Connection
Warrior Canine Connection Connects Man and his dog – A warrior with a natural loving healer. The care and ultimate support of the training of their dogs is paramount in transforming the warriors post-combat life. Therapy dogs are heroes in their own right, as these canines do re-connect a warrior’s life with family, friends and a broader community. It is this special relationship, the bond that develops, whenever a trained canine is used to support police officers or that of our precious combat Veterans.
